Are the operation results permanent?
According to current knowledge and results, we can answer yes to this question.
Is it possible to have a follow-up operation if I am not happy with the first results?
It is possible to undergo further vision correction if ´vision regression` has set in after a certain period.
Conditions do apply, however, which we will discuss with you in our individual consultations - which determine the best possible surgical solutions for your eyes.
How usual are follow-up operations?
Approximately 6% of LASIK patients require follow-up operations.
How much does a laser operation cost?
At Vision Clinic it does not matter which refractive surgery procedure you undergo (wave-front guided, wave-front optimised, topographically guided) it all carries the same cost.
This also includes all pre- and post-examinations, a possible re-LASIK (within the first 12 months), and all medication.
Please don't hesitate to contact us to find out the exact costs.
Are both eyes operated at once?
Yes, both eyes are operated directly one after the other.
This is known as simultaneous LASIK. This has been recently introduced as there is already a marked improvement in vision soon after the operation.
Do I need to take time off sick?
Normally you can work ain after one day. We do, however, recommend that you relax and take good care of yourself a few days following the operation.
We recommend taking a few days holiday . . . without your glasses or contact lenses.
Can you also fix ing related vision impairments?
Unfortuneately there is no reliable operation for these sight difficulties.
