After your ophthalmologist examines your eyes one final time, you can go home.
Your sight will still be blurry and, for the next 2-3 hours, you will probably sense a foreign body in your eye(s).
Keep your eyes closed for another 3-4 hours and avoid rubbing or bringing them in contact with water.
After a short period of time you will have a noticeable difference in your sight and on the following day you will already have next to normal vision.
After the operation you will be supplied with all the necessary medication and post-operative care instructions including an emergency number from your surgeon.
You will be able to partake in every day life shortly following your operation according to your profession and its environment.
You must, however, avoid sport and other forms of physical exertion for the two weeks following the operation.
To monitor results you will need to attend post-operative check-ups the day after and a week after your operation.
Following this we recommend, according to the individual results, up to four follow up appointments.
